Rimi meets World Bank delegation

State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Simeen Hussain (Rimi) met a World Bank delegation led by Gyonshim An, the program leader of the World Bank.

Gyonshim An highly praised the Minister for Women and Children Affairs for working on gender equality and women empowerment and wished to cooperate with the ministry to elevate the quality of women’s life.

During the meeting, the state minister said that she wanted to expand Kishore Kishori Club Project (KKCP) and she urged World Bank to support the program. She also invited the World Bank to help on eradicating gender-based violence and child marriage issues.

In this formal meeting, mother health, improving the life skills of teenagers, gender-based violation, eve teasing in public transport and many related issues have been discussed.
