Based on Sharif Uddin Sabuj’s short story, Mohammad Nuruzzaman’s children’s film ‘Aam-Kathaler Chhuti’ is set for countrywide release on Friday.
The film has been slated to be released in Star Cineplex in Basundhara City, Jamuna Blockbuster, Lion Cinemas, Silver Screen in Chattogram, and Cinescope in Narayanganj.
‘Aam Kathaler Chhuti’ is an adaptation of a short story by Shorif Uddin Shobuj. Apart from directing, Mohammad Nuruzzaman has also developed the screenplay and adaptation for the film.
He also worked on the dialogue and designed the sound of the film himself. The Russia based festival focuses on films representing the anthropology and regional identity of different countries of the world.
The film has a story that will be a walk down memory lane for people who grew up in the 80s and late 90s. It will also help introduce the new generation to the beauty of nature and the importance of being in touch with local folk tales.
The shooting of the film took place at different locations in Gazipur. The film was assisted by Juboraj Shamim, known for his directorial film, ‘Adim’. ‘Aam Kathaler Chhuti’ stars Jubayer, Leon, Arif, Halima, Tanjil, Fatema, and many others.
The films premiered at the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival in Indonesia last year and participate at the Cheboksary International Film Festival in.
