Sarabangla 88 Foundation distributes mosquito nets

‘Sarabangla 88 Foundation’ has taken an exceptional initiative to raise awareness about the dengue prevention across the country. Under the guidance of the founder of this charity foundation, Kazi Mostaque Ahmed(Emon) – Dhaka district co-ordinator Harun Rashid, the treasurer of the foundation, Sani De, along with the members of the foundation, Khorshed Mondal, Tutul, Shaheed, Nuruzzaman, Tanveer Sohail, Palash, Rauf Azad, Rehana, Luna, Tatini, Motaleb. , Nurul, Dr. Bablu, Hannan and other members distributed one hundred mosquito nets among the poor and needy people to prevent dengue epidemic at the Uttara Sector 7 Park.

Before this, the members of Sara Bangla 88 Foundation have distributed about 500 mosquito nets among the poor in some slums and many hospitals of Mohammadpur, Mirpur and Keraniganj, Savar, Chittagong, Jamalpur and Narayanganj. The members of the organization also said that the organization is moving forward with philanthropic activities. The prime goals of this organization are friendship and humanity, helping each other and standing by the backward citizens of the society, doing various humanitarian and social work including food distribution, medical assistance, sewing machine distribution, scholarship, rickshaw distribution and tree planting. Aedes mosquitoes have terrorized the country. The number of deaths due to dengue is increasing day by day in Bangladesh. This year, 1,046 deaths, the highest in a year since dengue was detected in 2000, were reported from dengue disease while 281 died last year. With the new cases, the total number of patients rose to 2,14,247  until yesterday.

Sarabangla 88 Foundation stands beside the needy people in disaster and danger. The foundation has taken this special initiative to save the country from this dire situation of dengue. Md. Harun Ur Rashid, chief coordinator of the mosquito net distribution program to prevent dengue, said that they will continue this program all over the country.
