Actor Bapparaj criticises journalists and celebrities

Renowned Dhallywood actor Bapparaj has joined fellow actor Mamunur Rashid in expressing concerns about the current state of the entertainment industry. While Mamunur Rashid’s previous statement sparked controversy when he mentioned Hero Alam as an example of declining taste, Bapparaj has taken the opportunity to address journalists and celebrities.

Bapparaj shared his perspective on his Facebook account, stating, “These days, being a journalist is not about qualifications or knowledge. All you need is a smartphone in your hand. There’s no responsibility, no need for education or wisdom. Just stand with a camera, and you’re a journalist.”

He further criticised celebrities, remarking, “Becoming a celebrity is easy. Just appear in front of journalists once and say whatever you want. It goes viral, and you become an overnight sensation. The response is as significant as the question itself. It’s clear that we are facing scarcity.”

The motive behind Bapparaj’s sudden criticism of journalists and celebrities remains unclear. Some speculate that his remarks are linked to the recent Eid releases and the comments made by fellow stars. Despite this, Bapparaj’s comments have gained significant support on Facebook, with many people agreeing with his viewpoint. However, Bapparaj has yet to respond to these reactions.
