The debut of the organization called ‘Step to Humanity Bangladesh’

An organization named ‘Step to Humanity Bangladesh’ – Coastal-19 has made its debut with the vow to work for the socio-economic development of the backward communities of the country including Coastal Districts.

Canada expatriate journalist and educationist Delwar Zahid presided over a meeting organized in virtual mode recently. He was recently appointed Executive Director of the international charity Step to Humanity Association.

He said, this new organization named ‘Step to Humanity Bangladesh’ will carry out poverty alleviation, education, skill development training, women and child development, sanitation and healthcare activities to improve the quality of life of the backward communities of the coastal 19 districts and the country. In addition, this service organization will play a key role in strategic planning to address the challenges faced by the poor people of Bangladesh, especially those affected by climate change.

Prominent sociologist and former director of Bangladesh Rural Development Academy (BARD) Dr. Kamrul Hasan, former director Anwar Zahid, Executive Director of Adhikar Foundation Ali Akbar Masum, Former Director of Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development Nasima Akhtar, Senior Journalist Khairul Ahsan Manik (UNB), Senior Journalist Md. Sazzad Hossain (BSS), journalist Shamsul Habib (Jugantor) and Esrar Zahid, Kora Hasan Ivana.

The meeting constituted a National Executive Committee for three years. Committee Chairman: Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Vice-Chairman: Khairul Ahsan Manik and Ali Akbar Masum, General Secretary: Md. Sazzad Hossain, Joint General Secretary: Shamsul Habib, Finance Secretary: M. Feroze Mia, Member: Sonia Rahman and Kora Hasan Ivana.

The executive director of the organization Anwar Zahid presented the articles of memorandum of organization and it was unanimously passed.
