Bushra Kabir’s contribution to transform country’s digital business

Bushra Kabir has achieved remarkable success in brand promotion, fashion blogs, and content creation. Her journey in the challenging and dynamic realm of influencer marketing testifies to her unwavering dedication.

Today, she has established herself as one of the most popular and sought-after brand promoters and content creators.

Embarking on this journey in 2018 by posting photos on Instagram, Bushra Kabir gradually transitioned to short videos, garnering widespread popularity. Later, she expanded her scope of work through collaborations with various commercial and non-commercial organizations.

In addition to her recognition as a fashion influencer, in the last 4-5 years, Bushra Kabir has fostered trust and admiration among her followers as a beauty influencer. Driven by passion, she has collaborated with various international brands, including Alya Skin, Innisfree, Neutrogena, Real U, and MINISO Australia.

At present, both local and global brands seek her out for product reviews, a far cry from her early days of personally procuring items for reviewing.

Reflecting on her journey, Bushra Kabir recalls, “Since childhood, I have always had a passion for fashion and had received admiration from my peers for my fashion sense. My love for traveling and photography led me to create and upload my travel and fashion-related pictures on my Instagram profile.

At that time, I did not have any financial incentives. In 2020, I opened my own Facebook page. With the increasing popularity of my videos, it became impossible to turn my back on what I loved most.”

When asked about her sources of inspiration, Bushra Kabir mentioned, “I, along with my child, came to visit Bangladesh. Due to the travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic, I could not return to Australia, where I was then employed. I then worked as a blogger and was employed at an agency for 6 months. Soon, I started getting various offers, including offers for brand promotions. Initially, I had my reservations regarding brand promotions.

My husband and mother have supported me throughout this journey and have played a crucial role in my success.”

Bushra Kabir completed her primary and secondary education at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College. Later, she earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from North South University and a postgraduate degree in the same field from Sydney, Australia. Throughout this period, she maintained her passion for blogging.

Her affiliations span renowned international brands, including Bobbi Brown, Pixi Beauty, Neutrogena, and Daniel Wellington. She has also worked with numerous brands in Bangladesh, including Unilever, Pond’s, bKash, Nagad, Meril, Lux, Lucy Olive Oil, Daraz, and Dabur Honey.

On the topic of the future of brand promotion, Bushra Kabir opined, “While the future of brand promotion remains uncertain, influencers can start various business ventures by capitalizing on the amassed experience and financial gains.”

She added, “YouTube is a well-known platform for generating income and offers further opportunities. Effective body language, sound communication skills, and overcoming the fear of speaking online might lead people to opt for a career in presentation. All in all, the future looks promising.”
