A press conference was held on the occasion of a public meeting to demand justice for those killed in the Awami anarchy and anti-discrimination movement at Daudkandi on February 8.
At the time, he said, during the period of Awami misrule, 11 murders were committed in Daudkandi by their party assassination. Not a single murder has been prosecuted yet. It became a haven for extortion, looting and terrorists.
The top leaders of this party have fled the country leaving their party leaders and workers in danger. Awami League wants to create unrest in the country again. People will reject their program. We will respond to Awami anarchy by resisting with strong hands.
Upazila BNP convener MA Latif Bhuiyan, Municipal BNP convener Noor Mohammad Salim Sarkar, Member Secretary Kausar Alam Sarkar, Senior Joint Convener Shawgat Chowdhury Peter, Joint Convener Khandkar Billal Hossain Sumon, Joint Convener Mostak Sarkar attended the event.
Former Councilor Salahuddin Sarkar, Member Secretary of Municipal Volunteers Party Jamal Uddin Molla, BRDB Chairman Mohiuddin Talukdar, Member Secretary of Upazila Youth Dal Khandkar Roman, Municipal Jasa Convener Molla Sohail and many others were present in the event.
