DMP Commissioner gets Kool-BSPA Sports Award

DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman received the Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) 2023 Best Organizer (Kabaddi) Award BPM-Bar, PPM-Bar.  On Sunday in the Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Kool-BSPA Sports Award was handed over to the DMP Commissioner by the President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry and former State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP.

He was awarded this award for his significant contribution to the promotion of the national game of Kabaddi as the General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation.

BSPA President Rezwan -Uz- Zaman Rajib presided over the event as the guest of honor of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry and former State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell MP and Square Toiletries Limited Managing Director Anjan Chowdhury.

After receiving the Kool-BSPA Sports Award, DMP Commissioner said, Kabaddi is the national game of Bangladesh. As the General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation I want to promote Kabaddi not only within the country but also internationally to the whole world. We hope that the national flag will fly and the national anthem will be played in the international arena through national games.

Heartfelt thanks to Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) nominate me for this award President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports and former Minister of State for Youth and Sports Mr. Zahid Ahsan Russel said, “BSPA has been organizing this event for 60 years. For this, I express my sincere congratulations and thanks to BSPA. We believe that our players, organizers, with their hard work, will take the sport to the level we are today.”  Guest of Honor Mr. Anjan Chowdhury, Managing Director of Square Toiletries Limited, said, “When you come to this event, you meet many people. It’s a matter of liking. We have been with BSPA for 10 years. As long as they keep us, we will stay. This award I think motivates athletes.
