Seventh International Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course 2024 inaugurated

Prof. Dr. Deen Mohd. Noorul Huq, vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU)inaugurated Seventh International Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course 2024 as a chief guest at the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Convention Hall of BSMMU. The course based on rheumatology aims to focus on recovering long -standing pain in human body.

 

‘Rheumatology is an important and broad subject in medical science. A multidisciplinary approach can play a special role in the treatment of rheumatology diseases. Musculoskeletal ultrasound plays an important role in identifying problems with the muscles, ligaments, joints and nerves of the body.

Musculoskeletal ultrasound has immense importance in the treatment of chronic pain. Musculoskeletal ultrasound is playing a very important role in the diagnosis and necessary intervention or pain relief through injections at specific areas. However, there is no substitute for training to acquire the necessary skills in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound’ Prof. Dr. Deen Mohd. Noorul Huq said.

The Bangladesh Rheumatology Society and the department of rheumatology at BSMMU organized this international event where foreign and country’s specialists in this fraternity alongside with students attended the programme. DrMinhaj Rahim Choudhury. Professor, Department of Rheumatology presided over the event. DrShamim Ahmed, secretary general of Bangladesh Rheumatology Society delivered the welcome speech.
