Bangladesh Scouts will be a beacon in the formation of Smart Bangladesh

State Minister for the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives Md Abdul Wadud, MP said Bangladesh said that the Bangladesh Scouts will be the torchbearer to play an important and fruitful role in building a ‘Smart Bangladesh’ by 2041 by building the young and talented people of the country as skilled citizens.

The state minister remarked this statement in a program about giving dram sets to a scout unit at Puthia Upazila Porishad, Rajshahi.

Md Abdul Wadud stressed on the importance of scouting to build smart Bangladesh.  ‘, Bangladesh Scouts has been playing a pivotal role to develop the teenagers’ physical, psychological, moral and intellectual ability to make them smart and good citizens.’

Abdul Wadud said that for the development of the society and the country, tree planting, vaccination, sanitation and environment conservation, energy-saving stoves and service programs of scouts during floods and natural disasters deserve praise. However, Cub Scouts (ages 6 to 10+) need to know the correct history of the country along with the latest innovations in current information and technology.
