Distribution of mosquito nets by Sara Bangla 88 Foundation

A friend organization named ‘Sarabangla-88 Foundation’ has taken an exceptional initiative to raise awareness about dengue prevention. As part of an exceptional initiative of Sara Bangla 88 Foundation to prevent dengue, mosquito nets were distributed among the poor in Mirpur area at the beginning of the month of Victory. Coupons were distributed to Night sleepers on the sidewalk before midnight to provide them with mosquito nets. With the encouragement of the founder of the organization, Kazi Mostak Ahmed Imon, in coordination with Dhaka District Panel Coordinator Harun Rashid, 900 mosquito nets have already been distributed across the country this year. The organization’s Vice President SM Sahid, Secretary General Haroon Ur Rashid, Joint Secretary General Bipu Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary Tanveer Sohail and Joint Coordinators Abu Hanif, Khurram, Ratan, Monalisa, Nijhum, Sayna, Ashru and Zaheer were present at the distribution of mosquito nets in Mirpur. Earlier, mosquito nets were distributed in various hospitals and slum areas of Mohammadpur, Uttara, Keraniganj, Jamalpur of the capital. Sara Bangla 88 Foundation is a friend organization of SSC passers in 1988. With this slogan Sara Bangla 88 Sukhe Dukhke in front of this organization, this organization has provided medical assistance of more than 70 lakh taka to friends and family members of friends so far. This organization has regularly involved itself in humanitarian work during various calamities of the country. All over the country dengue is being affected by Aedes mosquito bites this winter too. In the last 24 hours, 742 people were infected across the country. So far 1 thousand 632 people have died due to dengue. Also, the infestation of Culex mosquitoes is increasing exponentially.
