Bangladesh becomes ICIC executive committee member

Bangladesh has become one of members of International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC) executive  committee.

Bangladesh got elected through the voting of 83 member states at the 14th  ICIC conference held at Philippines capital Manila today.

The nine-member executive committee will be headed by chief information commissioner of Mexico for the next three years. Chief Information Commissioner Dr Abdul Malek represented Bangladesh at the  conference held from June 19 to 21, 2023.

“This is a proud moment for Bangladesh. It has achieved respectable position
in the global arena under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and
will continue to grow bigger and bigger in stature,” Dr Malek told BSS over
telephone.
