Police arrested two drug dealers along with liquor at Pekua upazila in Cox’s Bazar district early Friday.
The arrested were Sabbir Ahmad, 38, a resident of Rasulabad area, and Md Khokon, 29, of Korbaniaghona area of the upazila.
Pekua Police Station officer-in-charge Md Omar Haider said police arrested the duo after searching a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw heading towards Chattogram at Miajighona point on ABC road at around 5 am.
At that time, 100 liters of liquor were seized from their possessions. A case was filed with police station under Narcotics Control Act against the arrested, the OC added.
