CAG pays homage to Bangabandhu

Mr. Md. Nurul Islam, Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh, paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 on Tuesday.

Later at the CAG office the homage was payed to the Father of the Nation and all the martyrs of his family and placed wreaths at Bangabandhu’s portrait. The Holy Quran recitation, discussion meeting and prayers were performed at (CAG) where Md. Nurul Islam was present as the chief guest.

Md. Nurul Islam addressed the program, said, ‘Bangabandhu is the liberator of the Bengali nation. He gave this independent nation called Bangladesh to us. He Gave Bengalis an opportunity to identify themselves as the citizens of an independent nation. Under the leadership and guidance of the father of the nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, we got a sovereign country, an independent national entity, the constitution and our very own map and flag.”
