A van carrying cattle hit a covered van from the back which resulted the death of two. Among the deceased, one is a cattle businessman, identified as Rasel, 30, son of Jamal Mia of Laksham upazila. Four others were injured at the same time.
Cumilla-bound truck from Dinajpur over turned as its driver lost control over the steering and hit another covered-van from behind.
Later, the vehicles fell into the road side ditch, leaving two people dead on the spot and four injured.
The injured were rescued and taken to Daudkandi Gauripur Upazila health Complex, the official said.
During the incident, four cattle were also killed and five were injured.
