Rohingya boy found dead in Ukhiya camp

Armed Battalion Police (APBn) recovered the throat-slit body of Rohingya boy from a ditch in Ukhiya camp of Cox’s Bazar early Saturday.

Sheikh Muhammad Ali, officer-in-charge of Ukhiya police station, said the deceased was Md Mujib, 17, son of Obaidul Haque of West Block in Camp No-8 of Ukhiya.

He locals spotted the body and informed Rohingya Majhi ( a community leader).  Later, he informed the Armed Battalion Police (APBn) in the camp, the official said. He said the reason behind the killing could not be known immediately. The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
