Hamdard Trustee Board Member and former IGP Ahmedul Haque Chowdhury and Mia Lutfor Rahman Chowdhury of PPM and former police super have been elected president and secretary general respectively of Bangladesh Retired Police Officers Welfare Association’ (BRPOWA) Election .
Bangladesh Retired Police Officers Welfare Association’ (BRPOWA) Election 2023-2025 held on Saturday 9 December at Bangladesh Police Auditorium, Rajarbagh.
In the morning of the first phase, the Inspector General of Bangladesh Police and chief patron of the association Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun BPM (Bar), PPM
was present as the chief guest in the annual general meeting of the association.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman BPM-Bar, PPM-Bar and working and retired police officers were present in the meeting
presided over by retired DIG Bir Muktijoddha Md. Waliar Rahman, acting president of the association.
In the second phase, the polling started at 2:30 PM and ended at 5:30 PM at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh.
Only those retired police officers who are members of the association are present at the polling session and exercise their right to vote.
“Ahmedul Haque-Lutfar” council won the election.

Treasurer: Md. Abdul Quddus Khan PPM, Joint Secretary General: Md. Sirajul Islam, Joint Secretary General: Md. Bakhtiar Hossain Bhuya, Office Editor: Kazi Shahabuddin Ahmed,
Editor: Library & Dormitory: Nasir Uddin Khan, Assistant Treasurer: Md. Zahid Alam Biswas.
The members are SM Golam Mostafa, MA Malek, Setara Begum, Hammad Abdul Awal PPM,
Farid Uddin Ahmed, Md Obaidul Haque PPM (Bar), Md Sirajul Islam PPM (Bar), Md Nazrul Islam Mia BPM, PPM, Md Intezar Rahman PPM, Md Abdul Fattah Khan, Md Amir Ali won.
Note that Bangladesh Retired Police Officers Welfare Association is well known as a welfare institution.
This association has been working for the welfare of people for the last 40 years.
