Kazi Abdul Wadud Dara accorded reception in Puthia

The people of Puthia and Durgapur on Thursday accorded a reception to the newly elected member of parliament (MP) Kazi Abdul Wadud Dara at Puthia government high school. On arrival at the upazila, they received the newly elected MP with a bouquet who was elected from Rajshahi-5 constituency.

Kazi Abdul Wadud Dara said I will do work for the country people irrespective of caste, color and creed.  Rajshahi Awami League vice president S M Akramul Hoque presided over the reception progrmme.

He also congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her being reelected for the fourth straight term in the 7 January parliamentary polls. The MP also thanked all involved with the election process for making the 12th general election fair, participatory, and violence-free.

Kazi Abdul Wadud Dara is an Awami League politician and Member of Parliament from Rajshahi-5. Dara was born on 20 October 1962 in Rajshahi. He has a bachelors and Masters in Science.

Kazi Abdul Wadud Dara praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a public meeting. He said that the village transformed into cities under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. He also noted the improvement in the living standards of the people in the area, with more people wearing shoes and women dressed like city dwellers.

The minister also addressed the minorities in the area, assuring them that they need not be afraid as they are an integral part of the community.

He promised that all their rights would be protected under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership, urging them not to listen to anyone who tries to misguide them.
