Mosik mayor distributes sewing machines to 74 helpless women

 Mymensingh City Corporation (MOSIC) Mayor Md Ikramul Haque Titu distributed sewing machines among 74 poor and helpless women. The mayor distributed the sewing machines as the chief guest in an event organized at Shaheed Shahabuddin Auditorium on Tuesday.

At that time he said, half of our total population is women. It is not possible to ensure balanced development without ensuring active participation of women.Honorable Prime Minister has taken various initiatives to increase the capacity of women. Mymensingh City Corporation is implementing various programs for the development of women as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Lakhs of people have been provided assistance under the project of improving the quality of life of marginalized communities. Apart from this, various trainings have been organized for skill enhancement.He said to the women who got the sewing machine, this gift should be used properly. One should work through hard work and dedication to improve one’s own destiny.

In his speech, the mayor said that a project worth 1600 crores is underway for the development of the city. It has only spent 300 crores. Another Rs 1300 crore will be spent on the development of the city, which will change the face of the city.

The Mayor highlighted the activities of Mymensingh City Corporation in the face of Corona and various calamities and expressed his confidence to the citizens and said, we have been by your side and will remain so.Mymensingh City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Md. Yusuf Ali presided over the event, Panel Mayor 01 Md. Asif Hossain Don, Panel Mayor 03 Samima Akhter and others, Secretary Md. Arifur Rahman, Regional Executive Officer SM Mazharul Islam, Chief Warehouse and Purchase Officer Md. Bulbul Ahmed, Public Relations Officer Sheikh Mahabul Hossain Rajeev along with various department and branch heads, journalists etc. were present.
