5 final round winners will participate in the National WordMaster competition

The final round of ‘Inter-School (Mirpur Area) WordMaster competition and Prize Giving Ceremony was held on Monday, Pallabi Ward Community Centre in Dhaka. 22 toppers from 22 schools were awarded along with five final round winners in this day-long event.

The final round winners will participate in the National level WordMaster competition 2023. Total 22 schools in the Mirpur area participated in this competition. The total participants of the program were 120 including students, teachers and guardians.

Prof. Md. Farhadul Islam, Chairman, NCTB was present as the Chief Guest in the prize giving ceremony. Farjana Sharmin, Thana Secondary Education Officer and Mr. Raymond Quiah, Head of South-western Area, Good Neighbors Bangladesh spoke in the event.

The Chief Guest appreciated the initiative of the school level contest. He said, “Competitions like this will be helpful to encourage students’ learning attitude and sharpen their skills which will be helpful to guide them as global citizens”.

WordMaster competition is one of the revolutionary competitions which is arranged to make English interesting to the learners, to improve their self-study and performance in English.
