Police arrested two drug peddlers along with hemp from Nageshwari upazila in Kurigram district on Friday night.
The arrested are Masum Miah, 23, and Rifat Hossain, 23, hail from Tangail district. Nageshwari Police Station officer in-charge Ashiqur Rahman said a team from the police station conducted a frisk on a mini truck on the Gagla Bazar-Chilakhana road around 8:00 pm and caught the duo red-handed along with 35 kilograms of hemp.
The arrested people were sent to jail after filing a case against them with the police station under the Narcotics Control Act in this regard, the OC added.
