Three people, including two college students and a female EPZ worker, were killed and four others injured in two separate road mishaps in Natore district today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Mahmudul Hassan, 22, and his friend Arian Hassan, 23, both were the undergraduate students at Rajapur Degree College at Boraigram, and Shima Khatun, 28, a worker of Ishwardi EPZ.

Alimul Islam, Sub-Inspector of Bonpara Police Station, said the two college students were killed on the spot as a speeding truck rammed into them in Baramati colony area under Baraigram Upazila around 9.30 am.

Meanwhile, Sima Khatun was also killed on the spot and four others sustained injuries when a truck knocked their human hauler from behind in Kodomchila area on Natore-Pabna highway around 6.30 am.

Separate cases were recorded with the respective police stations in these connections.
