Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing today distributed food items and pure drinking water among flood victims in Bandarban.
The minister today visited the flood affected areas in Bandarban to stand by the affected people and distributed dry food items and pure water among them in Bandarban Sadar area, an official handout said.
Bandarban unit of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society managed the relief items. Ushwe Sing asked the authorities concerned to reach relief items and necessary government and private support at the doorsteps of the flood victims as soon as possible.
Secretary of Bandarban unit of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Amal Kanti Das, Bandarban Zila Awami League vice-president Abdur Rahim Chowdhury and Bandarban Municipality AL general secretary Shamsul Islam, among others, were present on the occasion.
