European stocks advance at open

European stocks climbed on Wednesday morning after mixed Asia trading and a retreat on most US markets.

London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index was up 0.3 percent at 7,293.12 points in early trading.

In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 was 0.4 percent higher at 7,271.84 points, while the DAX in Frankfurt climbed 0.4 percent to 15,769.29 points.
