Salahuddin becomes SAFF president for fourth term

Kazi Salahuddin has become SAFF president for consecutive fourth term.

The Bangladesh Football Federation president has been president for the regional game’s governing body since 2009.

SAFF general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal announced Salahuddin as president for another term after congress of SAFF at five-star hotel in the capital on Saturday (July 2).

It was already certain that Salahuddin is going to be SAFF president without any competition as no body submitted nomination paper from six other nations.

The announcement finally came with presence of representatives from all member nations.

Since 2009, there have been 22 SAF tournaments under Salahuddin. Six of them were SAFF championships and five women’s championships.
