32nd National Conference of Society of Pathologists held

Deen Mohammad Noorul, vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University said

‘New additions to existing laws are required to fully operationalize super specialized hospital. On the expectations of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to appoint local and foreign expert doctors and necessary skilled manpower to operate essential activities, new additions to the existing law will be necessary for the university.’’

At the Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Convention Hall of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor said this in a response to a question from the journalists at the 32nd National Conference of Bangladesh Society of Pathologists.

State Minister for Health Dr Rokeya Sultana said anesthesiologists and pathologists work behind the scenes, therefore, people don’t have peoper knowledge about the. But the role of anesthesiologists and pathologists is essential in providing the necessary support including diagnosis in providing proper treatment to patients through physicians and surgeons. Today’s conference needs to integrate the various experimental knowledge in the rapidly changing medical field.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen was present as a chief guest, State Minister for Health Dr Rokeya Sultana and Deen Mohammad Noorul, vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University attended the program as special guests.

It was informed in the conference that the last conference of the Society of Pathologists was held in 2018. Again, this conference was held after 6 long years. This year the theme of the conference was to bring together all the departments of paraclinical faculty, these departments include biochemistry, laboratory medicine, microbiology, pathology and virology.
